I think Ethan is exactly in-line with RE4's Leon or RE1's Barry: he's a hapless doofus who thinks he's very cool, but IS actually very skilled/lucky. Honestly, it fits the more camp elements of the better Resident Evil games, and I found it REALLY grew on me.

The social clubs in our neighborhood are exactly what they look like - places for old greek men to drink and read the newspaper and smoke incessantly. The spanish football club used to have an amazing dinner that they allowed outsiders to reserve once a week, but they stopped doing that a few years back. The empty bodegas and electronic stores are 100% fronts, though, and the massage parlors get busted for prostitution regularly. I think our neighborhood is like second only to Jamaica for "most prostitution business closures" in Queens.
