Chaos gods need to pull in Brad to start getting into warhammer 40k.

Vinny, everything you said about 40k is perfectly lore accurate. A common trope GW uses is ret-conning ideas because "the lore has been passed down over ten thousand years, so everything could be from a story of lies, or potentially misunderstood, or warped by Chaos, etc." So, the Lexanicum Vinnicus Nextlandarius has now been established and is a faithful depiction of the Imperium. All of this was Just As Planned, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
