Fun story on the Who Shot Mr. Burns episode: In Ireland, a group of students made a bet at the bookies 'Paddy Power' on who the killer was. The odds of it being Maggie was 500/1. The students bet it was Maggie and won 9,000 pounds (equivalent of 22,000 pounds today)! The bookies didn't realise the episode was being shown in America a weekbefore it was in Ireland so the students had the info on who the killer was and made off with the money! 1995 - a simpler time.

I think you should read more about the chip prices. Lots of inventory in the supply chain of older cards and the language used in the stories seems like a gotcha statement. Apologies for the brevity, it's late and sleepy.
