I think the longest I was ever stuck in formation was just north of 3 hours. (Change of command) In a world of stats and abilities I could totally see people being to stay in formation overnight.

i do not think he showed interest in joining the hounds. konstantin just implied it when responding. .................................spoiler (maybe).....author was just taking a walk in the woods to show the Hounds.....maybe they come after the MC in the future?? dont know

I think his reasoning for showing interest in moving up the ranks and getting closer to the, clearly deadly and dangerous, ranks of power needs to be fleshed out. He has to have a good reason to face that risk and I don't see why he'd think it was a good idea. Especially given his earlier plans of finishing up his tour and getting out of the legion after 5yr which sounded fairly solid and reasonable.
