We can all make assumptions but at this point if no woman has offered any opportunity, the brothel would be a good idea. Still it’s a fantasy novel so we could say whatever. That or Eryk would get other either assuming he’s into men or spends all his time in his room taking care of himself. Even though he is practicing magic

I don't really see any of them working out too well story wise. Most of it would need extensive set up to not feel forced.

I don't see the MC as a casual lover- so I'd be more inclined to the wait and see bit. He needs someone he can confide in and anyone he shares he secrets with will be dead in short order... or in storage!
