yeah I thought Castile told him in an earlier chapter. have not been able to find the passage. usually when i miss adding something in my notes I catch it in the RR edit read....I take Jake's suggestion. Duke Artorious

Cypha

There are still all the "Need to find a name" comments for the duke in the file.

Jake

Just name that Duke "Artorious"

I actually expected this to be a throwaway chapter... but this builds quite a bit of intrigue and some foreshadowing for Castile + MC's position...

I really enjoyed getting to know Konstantin's story better, it's very good for the best setting of the story. Now I would like to make a comment a little outside of this chapter, it is about the protagonist Erick. I'm a big medieval history fan and occasional participant in hema competitions. This choice of double short swords is very wrong historically. Don't get me wrong, it's not a criticism to denigrate your wonderful story, it's just an attempt to contribute to its improvement. Historically, short swords were used in combat with shields and never with two swords (the film gladiator doesn't count). From a historical and practical point of view, it would be much smarter for the protagonist to choose a one-handed longsword and possibly a dagger as his main weapons. This would give him more distance control and attack power. The short sword would make sense if he was a soldier fighting on the front lines in the shield wall. I think you've felt this yourself, since the protagonist rarely fights with two short swords. Thanks for the chapter.
