And again, he may look at them, and until Eryk told him what they would mean Maveith would not know whether they read 99 or 11 he would maybe know what Affinity was written where, but thats it.

Mavieth might be simple but even he won't be able to ignore the level of affinity. Especially when more than one will reach the ceiling. Even an admission that they were BIG... is death for our MC. Not saying he should do it; but a blood oath or something simliar needs to be worked in. He said he wants to go home and confess... seems a match made sort of.

Well so could they do with Eryk, for now memory searching has not been a common thing, detecting truths from lies is though, and Maveith could not lie about something he does not definitely know.

Bad idea, what if they need something and Eryk gets seperated from the group, using the space for perishables and transporting some goods is the best. Also the other way around if one of the group is seperated they would have nothing but their weapon and armor.

Thank you for the chapter!, he absolutely should not use the tablet in front of Mavieth, it’s not a matter of trust, it’s just an unnecessary risk, if mavieth was captured by any nation and some mind rape mage read his mind Erik would be hunted to the end of the world.
