Should’ve let him borrow the sword

Stephen Gauthier

Burned through first three books on Audible at a very rapid pace and have just now started reading Book 4 here because I'm not waiting until it's released on Audible in the Summer. I have to admit being able to read the comments of others about the material (to include the actual author!) truly enhances the material. Thank you!!

I'm honestly desperstely hoping for a subversion. Author seems to be trying too hard to make a big plot point out of this, and none of the arguments about why it supposedly makes sense to take the sword actually makes sense to me. At this point the seemingly inevitable betrayal would be rather contrived and unimaginative.

all felt too sudden, but it was the course for men in the legion, and it was not like I was not being buried today. We had been through So he's being burried

I should apologize here I should have realized that it would be numbered by chapters in one continuous stream didn't occur to me too much of a hurry I guess this book is just that good and I wanted to continue my reading I have to disagree somewhat with this comment by Jonathan Reeves one's name does not imply one's nature they were good friends more or less switch their rolls around Brutus and Matthews the camaraderie would have been no different they would have grown closer together in companionship and as friends you cannot judge with just the name this is why I am somewhat disappointed with not allowing Brutus to retain the sword it's tearing down a bridge that that did not need to happen he will either sell that sword or give it to someone else who may very well be less worthy than Brutus

johnathan reese

Sadly with a name like Brutus the eventual betrayal is fairly obvious coming. However there is room for subversion of Caesar-Brutus trope

damn taking the sword back was a dick move I am disappointed in Eryk. of all the things he lacks coins have never been one of them.

Usually just the current chapter. when the chapter moves to RR, I check them for suggested corrections. but i have editors that also review chapters as well. it may seem simple to go in and fix something, but it takes a few minutes for each correction, and making a dozen small edits quickly eats up time away from writing. I usually spend 8-9 hours a day, seven days a week at the computer or on the iPad

Do you ever come back and edit typos?

story economics. would you give an extra car in garage to a friend that you might never see again? also Brutus has been sore at the MC since being separated going into the Labyrinth

Jonathan

MC's kinda greedy when it comes to weapon, whats he gonna do with all those weapons, and kinda unfair in for the team(not a team player)it sucks..

Erick Thiemke

It will. That and Flavius being killed by Konstantin. It is a relatively small conflict but spoiler….he will end up in the Boris, Justin, Octavian camp

Steven

Should have let him keep the sword. Generosity always comes back to you.
