The politics of the Telhian Empire are on display as Eryk and the company navigates the dangers within the Empire. The wayward hero thinks he is going to have time to relax after the harrowing experience in Macha. Things are never that simple as Eryk continues to grow and mature as a soldier.

I do like the use of weather/storm as that does hint at the blight of weather from the summoners.

As grudges from both sides of the simmering war contrive to pull Eryk and company into ever more perilous situations. Eryk is determined to regain control of his fate by training his gifts, but will it be enough to weather the gathering storm?

How about something like Join Eryk on his continuing journey through the empire, while trying to juggle the legions duties without getting embroiled within the First Citizen's antics to take whatever they want or feel is their due. His evolving battles with manticors and all the trials and tribulations that just keep getting in the way of a nice relaxing vacation that should have been after Macca
