“Thank you for *dinner and * conversation.” I feel like this needs at least one "the" added.

costs more in Esenhem the Empire…….costs more in Esenhem than the Empire

it is symbolic of them disregarding their trappings of the Empire and sailing into new adventures. it is a bromance, not a romance

The elves are cautious [of?] who is traveling their lands

was too valuable [to] lose.

Kevin O'Malley

Given the picture of Eryk and Malveith baring their overchisled abs and staring meaningfully at the sea, the captain is wasting her time trying to lure either of them to bed.

Jeff Hughes

I hadn’t [had] bags of fresh coffee beans from the dungeon in my dimensional space.

I think it's all a matter of perspective. It probably doesn't cross Maveith's mind to think of something like "I'm going to buy my sister as a slave". He must be thinking: "I'm going to buy my sister's freedom and take her home safely". I don't see why he would fail with that kind of thinking. Theoretically, he is a being born and raised in a world with different moral rules than ours. Killing is not taboo, slavery and servitude are part of everyday life in many societies. He certainly knows that the easiest and least dangerous option would be to buy his sister's freedom. There would be no reason to have moral conflicts in this case.

Maybe and I know the author is good and certainly the solution to the main objective won’t be Eryk and Maveith go to random orc warlord being like “hey man we wanna purchase that slave for reasons” the warlord be like “of course gentelmen here she is you can take her back home”. Just saing that while a person can try, and probably fail, to be rational in the kind of situation Maveith is in, between the thought “I’m going to save my sister” and “I will buy my sister as slave” there should be other course of actions one can think of.

Ivan Kanewske

Feel a Django type situation coming up

Lemes

Maveith is being rational. It would be much easier and smarter to buy her sister's freedom than to try to kidnap her or some other crazy thing like that. But don't worry, the author is unlikely to allow such a simple outcome. Get ready for some crazy adventure full of twists and turns to free her sister and her friend (yes, we always forget about the poor girl!).

Thanks for the chapter, I appreciate the introduction on Orc society. Given that there was no POV on the Boutan Caliphate cleric, I hope we can have more info on their land in time. The only part I’m not convinced about is Maveith being eager to ask about “purchasing slaves”. The orc raiders of the Caliphate basically ruined his life, even if he is a gentle soul I suppose he may ponder how many heads need to roll or how many slave camps will burn. Purchasing Maveith’s sister from slavers that may have possessed her for a decade could be a curiosity for Eryk I suppose but for Maveith to participate in the slave market should be a last resort not the first course of action.

Lemes

Absolutely! If you think about it, he faced less danger in the Dungeons he explored than in some of his other adventures.

Liam Andrews

“What do adventures do in orc lands?” adventurers***

Silver Beard

So; hoping Eryk will do at least one Dungeon this arc. Better he won't have to hide his collector. Let the essence flow

Ivan Kanewske

hadn’t bags of fresh coffee beans from the dungeon in my dimensional space. This needs changed, doesn't flow well

Andrew

Thank you!

Thresher

Thanks for the chapter. So if I get this right, the orcs value strength? Maybe Maveith and Eryk can make a name for themselves as formidable warriors then. Or maybe they’ll run into an orc that would like to duel a Goliath because they are rare to find as adventurers.

Silver Beard

That 6th tenent... honest with your enemy might be a problem for Eryk. He's not local and hiding that has been his underlying goal since day 1 in this world. Even Mavieth doesn't know.

Silver Beard

flora and there [their] uses

BubblyGhost

Bah! Soldier number 1! Wooooo! Or uhh, I guess Adventurer now, lol

Erick Thiemke

2nd of 4 for cycle. Needed to post a chapter today or risk falling too far behind. Yes I have a town builer and world sphere due. For those that didnt pick up on it, the tenets of the orc warlords were mostly stolen from the samurai code: Bushido
