Slight continuity error: Eryk never told Raelia before this point that he can heal himself. The very last time he got injured in her presence he kept her thinking that he used a healing potion.(Chapter 168:The Shimmering labyrinth, fight in the earth drake room when the harpies come in and Raelia roasts one of them with a fireball and also hits Eryk. Passage: She studied my face, which was now mostly healed. “I’m sorry you had to waste a healing potion on your face.” I shrugged, not telling her I could heal myself.)

Im amused that Eryk thought he’d have any choice about Raelia going with them! Maveith certainly will not say no 🤣🤣🤣🍿📖

Good update and a nice reminder that wars are not over as soon as a peace is reached. The bitterness can linger for a long time, especially with the elves who will have people who experienced it for centuries afterwards. Still, at least they are looking forward to seeing what they can get out of it, instead of just looking for more ways to take revenge.

Typo. Artiria’s Guildmasterin particular? Guildmaster in particular?

JollyRodger

Well, after all this eryks group needs a payout for "rediscovering" a huge major dungeon. One the empire tried to hide from the adventure guild. A nice big gold payment or 2 is well deserved id say. Not even mentioning the group is also very responsible for the death of that dick emperor at the cost of some of thier own. No one likes to hear about the one's they know and love being killed in war. I bet those elfs will feel like proper asses if they find out the actual truth.

I played on a wood pile when I was kid, in the snow, my grandpa had stopped using that specific pile a few years prior because of poison ivy. So it winter, I got poison ivy from the coat after it wash washed, the oil was still on it, got it on my wrists and forearms. It's evil stuff, Mix poison ivy with the mushroom powder, to hinder Eryks enemies Muhahahahahah Too many muhaha now coughing Lol

Kyle Cunnane

I like Raelia and eryks dynamic alot

Erick Thiemke

most likely. we felled three tree to cut up for firewood. Cutting up the trees and moving the logs to the splitter is probably where I got it. worst i have ever had - going to be 7-10 days even with cortizone to go away

“I think the meal has disagreed me.” I think the meal has disagreed ‘with’ me.

Quick point. The wine isn’t from the dungeon. It’s from the city and was stored underground. Otherwise, I can see your point if I was referring only to what had been discussed when Eric was in the room. What was mentioned then was more high level information that she might have already known based on Realia’s experience. It’s the discussion that the regent was going to have with Blaze, Mateo, and Benito after Maveith and Eeyk leave where she’ll be able to grill them for info. Especially Benito as he’s at least tipsy. The most valuable information they could potentially sell is where the dungeon is located in the city and how to get to it. Raelia doesn’t have that info

Personally, of the female characters that have appeared so far, my least favorite character is Renna. I find her to be deceitful and to have a very questionable character. At first, she was shy, calm and helpful. After spending a few months at the wizarding school and being recognized as a prodigy, her personality changed completely, becoming aggressive and arrogant. I can only imagine what it will be like after she develops a taste for power..

Eriach

Khajit has wares to sell, skooma to drink.

Seth Feist

It may not be from on the wood but where he acquired it.

Aaron Weingrad

It is always interesting to see how an author decides to think about elvish culture. People who can live 15 to 25 as long as humans will have very different attitudes towards lots of things. Risk tolerance. Death. War. These elves feel like some mix of Elf Quest, regular humans and a little taste of Tolkien.

ngl i detest raelia

At the moment they just told that the dungeon is over one hundred rooms to people who already know it is extensive. I think that is just being polite. The wine, which gives more informations by itself in my opinion, serves to repay the regent for the dinner. Unless the trio has something more substancial than Raelia to say, I don’t really see a need to receive a reward unless something more is exchanged. Considering that they are not well liked and that the guildmaster really is the wrong man for the job and the prick he seemed to be (I really don’t understand how the guild has not intervened with one of theirs banning adventurers) a good impression on the regent could do wonders by itself.

Andrew

Thank you!

Is there a reason they’re giving information about the dungeon so freely? I know they’re in the elves’ country so there’s that threat hanging over them constantly to some degree, but can’t they get something even if it’s small? Not necessarily money either.

Ivan Kanewske

Lol my change needs a change Let me be forthright with you

Thank you for the chapter

Ivan Kanewske

It is my understanding that you shouldn't burn wood with poison ivy or oak oils on them. The oils go airborne and you could get the poison in your lungs. Stay well

PatronTurtle

Eryk really needs to figure out how the rest of the world responds to otherworlders. As his secrets come out it'll become increasingly obvious what he is to those that know him, and if the other leaders also devour them, it could end up being an issue

Ivan Kanewske

Poison ivy and oak are evil

Garrett

Itchy wipes for Benito?

Erick Thiemke

2md of 4 for cycle. I was planning on two chapters today but just got through one. It needs work as it is a bit focused and chaotic. Hopefully, on an edit read tomorrow, I can clean it up a bit. Also got poison ivy doing the firewood, itchy as all hell so maybe poison ivy will appear in the story soon--Poor Benito
