Thank you for the chapters 📖🍿. I really like what Raelia named her Horse 😉🤣. I’m enjoying that the group is travelling again, and the they’ve offered to 🤞🏻 rescue the child and kill the werewolf, not sure how Rolf is going to feel about it, the might have to leave a guard or two.

"I just let him talk and nodded alone." - should be "along".

Erick Thiemke

yeah either works....jk...fixed on the master

Trevayne

Nice to see a new group of adventurers care about building a positive reputation. It makes sense, especially since they are trying to live down being former Telhians. Mateo was talking to me about how it was funny that Raelia was older than his mother, yet she looked younger than his sister. I just let him talk and nodded alone. I think that alone works better as: and nodded along.

Erick Thiemke

think it is corrected

Erick Thiemke

ugh, i must have missed that on my read edit

The food was copious but rather bland offering (→ a rather bland offering).” The food was copious but a rather bland offering.

I believe the caravan leader has been called a dwarf and an elf.

It actually worked pretty well, and many of those paved roads are still around today even and totally usable. The civilizing influence is because suddenly a week long, harsh, and dangerous trip to the nearest village, could suddenly be completed in like 3 days instead, with easier travel and generally less danger. Which encourages people to travel more. If you've ever visited a fairly isolated rural town, you will notice that the locals are often very standoffish around strangers, and some people are even hostile (though that's mostly if you go sticking your nose in popular local spots like bars). Imagine that as EVERY village back in the day. People are fearful and suspicious of things they don't know, and that applies very much to people they don't know as well. Another civilizing aspect was the ability for merchants to sell proper modern (at the time) wares and deliver news and mail, as well as the ability for soldiers to patrol quickly and easily.

Apophixas

However, offering help like this can help the adventurers, and the merchants that hired them, garnered good will and earn a decent reputation for their groups.

In book 1 you loaned Eryk an empire translator enchantment, I’m kinda surprised that no one has been asking for one with the adventure guild or merchants. Could Raelia do it as a wind spell?

Gotcha, We all have issues and strengths One of your strengths is creating this world we love

Bread was do hood they put bread on it instead of butter.

This would be the problem with being a merchant company in a land with random monsters. Sad stories like this will come along and you would feel obligated to help. But random villagers can’t afford to pay for healing, equipment or pensions for dead guards’ families. The empire pays for the legion. There should be some method for the Adventurer’s guild to guarantee payment for these sorts of situations.

Lemes

The part where Blaze and the others dismount and start preparing without any command seems a bit illogical to me in the story. As far as we know, only Erick knows how to speak Elvish. I think a change would be needed here, where Erick explains the facts to them and they are willing to go after the werewolves.

Thank you Q: the animal (racoon) hunted by baldo can give an essence? Its big enough

A didn’t notice a single such weapon among these simple elven townsfolk A should be I

Oscar a fair amount of attention in the dreamscape realizing way I wanted the griffin to like me. Oscar a fair amount of attention in the dreamscape realizing WHY I wanted the griffin to like me.

Maveith only ate a quarter loaf smothered in bread. Smothered in butter

Thanks for the chapter, I really liked the road detail. It’s a little glimmer how the empire was mishandled for decades. It also kinda killed off the idea of using tremor sense to find loot, as the earth elemental team probably clean up things like lost coin purses. I seem to remember teachings of the empire, about making roads as a civilizing influence, would that be mostly propaganda?

Jordan

Thank you! Enjoyed the chapter

“Most merchants only had a pair of guards with them, but that was because Rolf was traveling into the Caliphate.” There seems to be something missing in this sentence as the transition from the number of guards other merchants have to Rolf going to the Caliphate doesn’t make sense.

Andrew

Thank you!

Eriach

Well let's see if they can get just the one and not the whole pack down on them
