Soldier POV vote - Closes Jan 19th
🕑 Added 2025-01-13 02:02:02 +0000 UTCTaking a brief pause from the Town Builder chapter to post this. There will be a Raelia POV chapter for Soldier book 6 so no need to include her in the choices. For those of you new to Seraphim, you get to vote on a 2-3 POV chapter per book, and yes, who wins does affect the story. May be some spoilers below if you are not caught up in the reading. I try to give some interesting options.

first heard about the swarming gobs iirc around the time eryk was hounding - or looking for the archives maybe. the timing might be right, but i seem to remember hobgoblins being mentioned (might have that wrong)

If mystery person wins it should be someone from china and then translate the chapter into chinese characters and then post that

Incredibly intrigued by the Mystery person concept, so that was my vote, but perhaps doing that later and focusing on Gilda would flow better. In a narrative sense.

i'm personally enjoying ignoring these - and the resulting surprise. If i had my druthers tho, i'd pick a single chapter with all of those in it - why do they need a full chapter?

If it’s coming in the next few chapters, Gilda would be good for the current events. She doesn’t reveal much in why she’s doing anything. Though, if the knowledge of an earth group is known to the reader first, then I can see it being drama-humanizing material. As an aside, would the dungeon destruction be a reason earth humans arrive be interesting? If the dungeons are looking for test material and Eryk is evidence for more testing. This can be an honorable reason why the Talhain empire hunts down off worlders, to protect earth from interference. And dungeons maybe have a function we don’t understand, and removing them causes destabilizing forces.

it might be interesting to see why Gilda attached herself to Konstantin. The easiest one for me to write would be the Mystery Person as I know the second half plot somewhat
