Mini-studio tour would be awesome! This was a lovely and thoughtful discussion, thanks Dan. Pretty encouraging to hear that you write end-to-end as opposed to working it out bit by bit in a DAW. I’ve never been able to write the meat and bones of a song the latter way myself. I listened to the new track before this, and I was really into how up-close it sounds, if that makes sense? I wondered if you were working with a 4track and an amp simulator! A good friend and I have both been getting a kick out of the Strymon one, I’ve been using it with a very cheap guitar (a Harley Benton ersatz les Paul jr that’s piss yellow) lately and it’s been a fun change.

You got me thinking about the explosion of AI towards the end there- people can use all the generative tools they can find, but the soul is missing. Pen and paper > chatgpt; and cheap music with raw energy >>> over-sanitised over-worked stuff ❤️
