Sandman Games and Art

hello, the backend stuff for the sandbox is still saved within the game so it will be brought back at some point. The VN is just way easier to make right now. Thanks for support.

I was severely disappointed in 18.3 It's the only time that I've dealt with a game update where there was less game than had been there previously. Honestly you've taken what was a great, diverse and ambitious game and turned it into a half-assed, derivative VN. The biggest problem is that the game was designed as a sandbox game instead of a linear story at the get-go and the various parts were not meant to be seen sequentially. The absolutely ridiculous story patches to try to link parallel story lines into a sequential VN has utterly destroyed the story for me, and the linear nature of the story has destroyed the optional nature of the power selection and has made choice redundant. Pretty much everything that made the game interesting and different and ambitious and made me want to play it are either gone or altered for the worse AND with less story, which presumably means that the original content that we saw before is now being cobbled together into some half-assed story to create a linear storytelling sequence. Honestly if you were going to do that you should have gone back to the beginning and started over. Otherwise you should have stuck to your original vision, despite the extra headaches, complications and work. People will wait longer for a quality game. Just look at Being a DIK. This is now one step away from the discard bin for me.
