On August 13th at 11:40 AM, my grandfather on my father’s side passed away at the age of 87. It was a day of pouring rain.
The day before, I had been reassured by the news that he seemed to be getting better, but while preparing for my father’s hospitalization, I received the heartbreaking news.
My grandfather was born in a difficult time for the nation and became a devoted worker who helped develop the country. Because of him, my family has the life we enjoy today.
He was cheerful yet rather strict. When I was young, his sternness often made me uncomfortable, but looking back now, those were all small things.
I regret not visiting or calling him more while he was alive. Even the nagging I thought was outdated when I was little turned out to be right after all.
Now I realize that the words of elders are never wrong. While I was conducting my grandfather’s funeral in my father’s place, I came to understand—only after turning thirty—how important and valuable my grandfather’s words and actions truly were.
So many regrets weigh on my heart. While loved ones are still with us, we should see them often and talk to them often.
Because grief comes without warning. Time flows on, whether we want it to or not.
As I grow older, I feel the distance widening between me and the people I hold dear. It saddens me that parting is unavoidable in the end.
I also fear the growing responsibilities that come with age. But just as our parents and grandparents carried them, we too must eventually do the same.
After this experience, I decided—though it may feel a little embarrassing—to record more photos and videos of my loved ones on my phone. I think it’s a good habit.
Sorry this ended up sounding like a diary, but if anyone relates, I’ll be glad.

In April, my maternal grandfather passed away, and in August, my paternal grandfather passed away, all while my father was undergoing surgery. Life really throws all kinds of things at me.
My grandfather’s funeral was completed peacefully, my father’s surgery was successful, and he was discharged yesterday.
Although it may not be the best choice for me, I plan to take a short rest during September. I still need to figure out how to care for my grandmother, who now lives alone in the countryside.
Since it will only get harder to take a break later, I’ll try to rest while I can.
The upcoming increase in Fanbox’s fee is a problem, but I’ll think about that later.
The August reward will conclude with part two of Kanna-chan.

sorry to hear that, borscht. my uncle has passed away this year on 7th of august because of a stroke and while getting home from his funeral i've realized exactly this thing - we rarely ever talked to each other in the last ten years or had any special occasions to meet, never cherished the time we could've spent together until it was too late. it's as if people are hardwired like that, thinking they have all the time in the world to go about doing stuff, but whenever these things fall on our heads all of a sudden, sadly there's not much left to do after. so please, make sure pay them a visit at least once in a while, that way the growing distance won't be as excruciating and there will be a room for the last memories to be made. take care of your loved ones for what you can..!

i feel sympathize to your current month RL and Glad your father surgery is success.take your time as your need to make sure mind and RL stuff become stable again,and for critic what you want do in RL,i think you need re-think first what you draw next since your current art still "reflect" yourself in RL.the suggest i can give you rn is think how you gonna treat the heroin in your draw after these year,and if you think that still hard i want you imagine it as you eating vanilla ice cream 👍. i am no kidding what i comment in here,so i hope you can see these poor presence comment. stay healthy and again take your time with your family. ✨✨
