Giving it a shot!

I would just export both versions to Markdown and use vimdiff, maybe after running them through a markdown formatter to deal with changes to line breaks. Or add the markdown to a git repo and use git diff. I'm sure friendlier diff tools exist though. Or if you're mostly interested in if there have been wording changes, you can export/copy-paste both to plain text, remove all newlines, and then use git diff --word-diff or something like that. Or I'd even bet there's some website that lets you paste blocks of text into it and see the diffs.

Haha, it was an intentional reference but mostly because I couldn't think of a chapter title at the time. Also because YouTube keeps recommending me *so many* Undertale shorts.

Unfortunately this happened far enough back that Google merged all the old copies of the document, haha. Thank you for the offer! I'll reach out if I really do need it, but I *think* it should be fine; the main worry I have is just potential differences between Patreon and the master doc (in case I made changes on one but not the other without realizing). I should just be able to paste stuff over otherwise. That said, if you have a good diff tool to recommend, I'd appreciate that. XD Been a while since I've worked in software and I can't remember the ones I used to use.

Exciting!! Re "Google Docs appears to have obliterated all my italics formatting across fifty chapters of DRR3" if you haven't already fixed this: you may be able to find most of the italics in docs version history. Alternatively, if you want / if it's useful, I can probably quickly code up something that extracts all italics from DDR3 and lists them out by chapter & text (with the minimum number of surrounding words to uniquely identify the fragment), if it'd be easier to copy individual fragments. Plausibly if you tell me what OS you're on, I could even write a script that does the cmd+f paste search text, go to the italics part, highlight, add italics, repeat.

In the wall. A crack in the wall.

Fun fact you get for being a patron: In one early version of this chapter, Guard got (briefly) stuck in a crack.
