Stormkessel is "the anchor" - therefore, is this some kind of inverted leviathan-ship-convolute with woven magic sails that manifested in the desert? 🤔

Calling it now, I feel like Damien’s dad is the demon king. Can’t wait to see Cale faceslap the demon king.

My theory is that cale is a beast and will figure out the answer and then recruit our newly awakening friend as a student of the academy :D

Looking forward to finding out! 😁

Love this theory!

Don't worry, I haven't forgotten! These first few classes are all about moving through how Cale deals with different situations, which is why this class is more focused on rules and limitations. But there's still plenty of room for overwhelming amounts of mana to Solve Problems™ ;)

The only theory I have is that Sternkessel and this being were both experiments of creating sentient beings through purely magical means and resources. This would help explain Sternkessel's use of 'non-magical' abilities since he wouldn't necessarily need to cast spells to manipulate the mana so thoroughly the way he and the being in the Spires does. Something either would have gone wrong with the other being, it was a contained prototype that escaped, or possibly Sternkessel created it or it was created alongside Sternkessel as some sort of side effect/'bonus.' That last one in particular would explain why Sternkessel visits and can help to calm down the being despite him not being able to really do anything about the Spires or the being itself. The being spoke about a contract and while this theory doesn't really explain that part I could say that part of being created through said magical means and resources was the being or the creator having to create some sort of agreement with The Gift to allow it's existence. Also just remembering Cale mentioning anomalies like the Inverted Spires tend to be because of Outer Realm beings so maybe Sternkessel amd this being were summoned from there? Im gonna look real funny if this is so much simpler than all this :) Thanks for the chapter!

I kinda get the idea of rules In this domain and all But seems like sometimes it crosses the boundaries of eliminating the basic idea of "might make right" - "who ever has the biggest fist wins" That's a rule by itself I guess.. lol Just don't wish for this story to spin off making it about this weird rules let's call it. And focus on the rule who has more mana rule wins! I mean the story is great but try using the character trait of lots of mana more plus the title says it all.. JUST ADD MANA!

Honestly, I’ve got no theories. But I’m enjoying finding out. Also, I’m really enjoying the fact that Cale isn’t just demonstrating what a Proper Mage looks like to his classmates, but also to the Professors watching. This isn’t just an example of how to be a Proper Mage, but a clear warning of how they would be taken apart should they dare to oppose Cole.
