Your world building and the settings you set up in every chapter never cease to amaze me im just so drawn in by this story please don’t ever lose your interest in writing this one!

TYFTC! Love seeing what is going on with Kazza's people, the relief they will be feeling is so immense! Now the Red Commander really seems like someone Cale might already know about, and I think their clash will be very interesting.

Oh man imagine Cale comes through willing to hear the Red Commander out so he can get to the root of the issue and get intel, then Red Commander tries to/succeeds in stealing something from Cale that he really shouldn't have... oh the carnage! Could Cale become the final boss of this arc?

BeanerOO

Oh. My. God. To have something stolen from Cale could be both a blessing and a curse to him. Perhaps a blessing? What sort of internal conflict will this cause for Cale? oooooooo I LOVE this. What to take???

Silver Linings

Appreciate it a lot!

I don’t think the red commander is boring at all. Its motivations are a mystery, we don’t know much about it at all. It’s not a bad thing to have an enemy that’s easy to hate. I’m hyped to see the red commander when Cale and co fuck up his plans irreparably. Going to be cathartic.

Diego Rossi

Probably the Red Commander is a force from outside this multiverse. Probably his (its? I doubt his/its form is real) goal is the destruction or collapse of the multiverse. I think he/it is linked to the rot that infested Yggdrasil.

I dont think the red commander is boring given what hes been doing but i dont understand his goals beyond maybe turning cale into his ‘pet’ which will prolly fail but we have to see all the bad hes doing so the catharsis of seeing cale fold him like an omlette is appropriate

Silver Linings

We'll be back to the school stuff soon. And yeah - well, the upcoming arc is more about Cale and his demons than the RC, but I'm also working on stuff I struggle to write, and villains that are "just evil" is one of them. It's a work in progress and probably not really something I'll repeat. I'll consider the walnut approach. Maybe an almond?

I greatly look forward to the Red Commander being ruined in a boring, concisely written way so we can stop panning to him. "AND THEN HE CHOKED ON A WALNUT AND DIED THE END" maybe for Book 1? He is by far the weakest element of the dramatis personae and yet we keep getting scenes of him displaying wickedness + a throwaway extra character. I'd so much rather meet Fila's parents, make magical pancakes, or fist-bump the voidcyte than read quickly and irritatedly past any more Red Commander tedium.

This was an extremely pleasant surprise
