Heal up dude! I like your stories, take your time to make the goodness in a way that doesn’t hurt. Hope you’re doing well.

Personally I prefer quality over quantity. Sure, patreon input can be a helpful tool, but in my personal opinion that should only affect the overall story structure as a whole. Yes, we're essentially beta-readers, but at least for me that doesn't mean that I don't care about the quality of what i'm getting. Seems to be different for other people though. Perhaps this is worth having a poll over, if this is something you are undecided about

Coffee makes anxiety worse. Decaf would be a good alternative. 😗 Glad to read that you felt better today!

Mental health always is, and most likely, always will be a delicate balancing act.

Beeees!

Seems like your heads screwed on right. It's like they say on airplanes gotta help yourself before you help others. Take care of yourself Ina sustainable way and the work will come easier and content will flow. Thanks for the updates and I hope the trend over the last 24 hrs continues!

As you said, this is a job, so treat it as such. Establish a REASONABLE release schedule, plan the "sprints", don't sweat the polishing for Patreon (we're paying for having chapters sooner, were willing to accept a rougher draft than RR/Kindle), include editing for older chapters within the schedule, add 1 month completely off (ideally in the summer if possible) and start building a backlog once everything is in place so you can cover for any unexpected issues) and then relax. We're here to enjoy the world you create, but we're not expecting you to work 24/7 to deliver the chapters, in the same way our bosses wouldn't expect that of us at work. But we do value consistency, so optimize for that for us readers and for work/life balance for yourself.

Thank you. I do, and the advice, both here and on Royal Road, has gone a long way to helping me set my goals straight and aligning my priorities.

I'm glad you're feeling at least a bit better, and it seems like you have an idea on how to continue to improve balance in your life.
