I mean it's not like I set out to do that, but regardless, i am basically kind of scamming you guys here, and I think it's 100% fair to slighted about that. Seriously. Don't be shy. If you're feeling like you're getting scammed please send me a DM, and I will give you a full refund. (Note that Patreon doesn't allow refunds 90 days after the purchase, so I can only refund the last 2-3 months depending on when you subscribed).
I've noticed that a lot of people are also going like "oh don't stress poor bobert out, he will move on his own pace" and while I really appreciate that, I feel that it also might be pressuring some people to keep their mouths shut when they feel like they're genuinely being ripped off here.
I have no intention of scamming anyone. I earn more than enough money off of Kindle and Audible, I will not go broke if you ask for your money back. So do it. Please. I really, really, really don't want anyone to walk away feeling wronged.
I will also update the tier descriptions to more accurately reflect the possibility of these kinds of delays happening in the future, since I also don't think it's fully fair to promise a consistent schedule and then fail to deliver every once in a while. That's bullshit, and intentional or not, I'm not gonna be the type of person to do that shit. Hell naw.
Now, I understand that social anxiety is a bitch. And I relate.
I know damn well I'd feel too embarrassed to ask, and would rather just take the L and walk away. So, for my socially anxious brothers and sisters out there, just send me this emoji āļø and I will take that as a sign to refund you. I will not reply in any way. There will be no sudden social interaction jump scares. I promise. Just think of it like pressing a button and your money magically appears back in your bank account. :D

Been subbed for, gosh over a year now, crazy how time flies. I didn't sub for access to the backlog, because that never made sense to me; after I get through the backlog, I have to wait the same amount of time between releases, except now I'm paying to do so lol. Rather, I subbed because this story, about perseverance, hope, and overcoming internal demons, holds a special place in my heart, and I want to be able to support the author. Having dealt with-and continuing to deal with in a lot of ways-serious mental health problems myself, I understand how it can feel like when you start focusing on improving your own internal problems, everything else you had been able to handle starts to slip out of your grasp. So many things that we accomplish and are capable of are done only through the iron grip of bad coping mechanisms holding so tightly that you cut yourself, and as soon as you start working on fixing those issues you lose your grip and drop everything. It can be very discouraging, but speaking from experience, I promise that one day, you'll learn to hold things in a better way, one that doesn't hurt you and the people around you. You'll be able to pick everything back up. And until that time, you will keep receiving my couple of dollars of support, not because I expect chapters on specific days or in a certain time frame, but because this little donation is a way to show -across the vast distance of the internet- that someone is rooting for you.

A bit late to the party, but I am glad you seem to be on the mend. As others have said, radio silence is a great indicator of being scammed, and while you might not communicate as often as some of your fans might like, you are at least letting us know about the severity of your struggles, without regard for how deeply personal those struggles are. As someone who has been dealing with similar mental health concerns my entire life, I can appreciate your struggle, brother. Take care of yourself first. While I don't mean to sound like I am employing a 'no true Scotsman' fallacy, know that your true fans are there for you should you need us.

Personally, I ever only feel scammed when there's a lack of communication. Doesn't matter if it's 1 dollar or 20. So I appreciate posts like this, and don't really care about the money. But if there's radio silence like I've experienced from other authors, I'll get pissed over, as I said, even 1 dollar.

I've been obsessed with 1% since the first audio book had to find my way here naturally. That being said take your time and do what feels best for you man. I appreciate the honesty and transparency but I'd much rather wait and get a product that feels genuine to you than Complain about my 10 bucks. I think what your doing is great and all but if I was ever tripping about it I'd just cancel and come back in a few months. All is well man and keep it up. Love your work.
