The alien spores seem to be a hive mind within the womb with there being one main spores or embro whose job it is to coordinate everything from coordinating the spores to rebuild the host to micromanaging the entire operation. An idea of how this happens is once the host is infected there is only one spore takes up residence within the hosts womb and all the other spores rebuild the body to suite the that one spore original spore begins doubling it's numbers until they reach millions of copies of the original spore with the first spore being the cental command and all it's copies being extensions of it's will.
