Weirdly enough the whole thing about 'creative' + 'scrounge' + 'killed taste buds' makes me think of Orihime from Bleach. Although I do get it. Still most of the tiny details in taste come more from the sense of smell. Also I'm not sure but I sort of feel like I should apologize for making you crave steak, although cheap cuts of steak can still taste awesome, heck I usually will go for a skirt steak over filet mignon any day of the week... cuz if I'm going to splurge on a steak, I'd go for this virtually absurd thing called the tomahawk steak (it's like something out of the Flintstones, it's MASSIVE :-D )

Now I'm hungry for steak lol! As for Cinnamon, she's just very creative. As a child she had to scrounge things together and Misty/Frost theorize that it killed her taste buds 😅

I'd try turning this into an excuse for us to attend cooking classes together, I'd still try about ten bites at least, because who knows maybe she only needs to work on presentation... honestly I made some horrible soup in my early teens. My mom, bless her heart ate a whole bowl, more than I could. But since then I have gotten adequate with some things, like steaks.... My main trick with some thicker steaks is to sear them for about 5 minutes each side on a grill, then put them in the oven set to broil to make sure they're cooked to the correct doneness. Although when I'm having an off day, I tend to only be able to cook them well done... although the hardest part with steak in my opinion is the prep work/seasoning (if you really want it to turn out well you do this bit like a day or so in advance and leave it in the fridge... I don't remember the science behind it, but it works)
