Installation
Disable Easy Anti-Cheat
Install the mod loader (attached below) to ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN\Game\ if you don't have an equivalent.
Extract UnlockAspectRatio.7z to ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN\Game\.
Open mod_loader.ini and add mods/UnlockAspectRatio.dll under [modules_nodelay]
If you're using a different mod loader, UnlockAspectRatio.dll must be loaded as early as possible, by setting it's prority to be higher (usually smaller numbers).
Disabling Easy Anti-Cheat
Download steam_appid.txt below and put it next to nightreign.exe
Put this line into the game's launch command in Steam:
cmd /c start nightreign.exe & rem %command%

Does this mod also increase the animation distance/range of enemies? Since the black bars are gone, if you have enemies visible on the sides where the bars used to be, you'll see the animation of the enemies starts stuttering (seemingly to improve performance). There was a mod of it for Elden Ring here: https://www.nexusmods.com/eldenring/mods/349 Source for that mod here: https://github.com/techiew/EldenRingMods/tree/master/IncreaseAnimationDistance
