It's a final fantasy game. It's almost literally impossible the actual gameplay is fun. This is the same cycle of abuse we've been going through for 20+ years now. Break it lol

Yeah, I guess I shouldn't be too surprised Brad is pessimistic about it. He hasn't really liked a Final Fantasy since X, couldn't get into either XV or VII Remake (VII Remake slaps hard, though), & is both generally disinterested in both JRPGs these days & character action games (he doesn't like DMC, God of War OG or reboot, or Bayonetta), so I honestly don't know what, if anything the series can do at this point to win him over, but hey, for what it's worth, I'm pretty excited for it myself. I LOVED VII Remake & everything everyone says about XIV sounds amazing, & thus being by that same team gives me confidence in the project, so let's see what they can pull off.

If Final Fantasy XVI's combat looks a little DMC-esque to you, that's because they got DMC5's combat designer to design the combat system. So yes, it really is going that heavy on the action. I think it looks like a lot of fun.
