I just came here to express my confusion as to why Alex thinks that Guarana is so horrifying. I thought maybe he was confusing it with Taurine which was rumored to be extracted from bull testicles when Red Bull was originally gaining popularity. (It does exist in bull balls but is made synthetically for Red Bull)

Guarana is a plant, maybe Alex is confusing it with guano, which is bird and bat poop
