Jitterbug is the phone you guys are thinking of

You could look into a service like Fastmail to run your emails and calendars.

For reference, Verizon's 1080p vs 4k on 5G and 5GUW is a cap they impose. They throttle your speeds to prevent you from getting 4k even if the speed is fast enough.

Guys, please remember the NYT is the same paper that helped lie us into the invasion of Iraq. Also, their Gaza coverage has been atrocious. https://mondoweiss.net/2024/03/here-are-the-latest-examples-of-the-astonishing-dishonest-nytimes-coverage-of-israels-war-on-gaza/

Vinny: I switched from the ER-4 to the cloud gateway ultra. I'm sure my use case is nowhere near as complex but it's nice to just have all my unifi stuff under 1 cohesive ecosystem. I was hosting my unifi controller on the same rasp pi that I ran pi hole on and it was just just getting too unstable long term. Sometimes the simplest solution is the best.

Wife and I were on T-Mobile for a decade until they kicked us off a grandfathered unlimited plan and put us on a "new" unlimited plan. You get NOTHING for being a loyal customer nowadays. It's your responsibility to game the system to get the best deal. Moved the family to Verizon and got a couple of "free" iphone pros and our service is cheaper with the bundled discounts. It used to be that it was not in your interest to lock into a contract. With phones being so expensive and the upgrade cycle being stretched out to 2-3 years, it's kind of worth locking in at a low rate and getting $3k worth of phones for free and re-evaluating when the contract period is over.

Cricket is just a wireless provider just like mint and Verizon. You can use any phones on there. Cricket started back when the phones only did texting and calling but they’re just like any other provider but cheaper.
