Vinny I recommend picking up "On Longing: Narratives of the Miniature, the Gigantic, the Souvenir, the Collection" by Susan Stewart. It's an insightful exploration on how nostalgia and material culture subsist from a desire for an impossible return to some kind of βauthenticβ past. It's one of those rare books that change the scale of time after you've read it

Hey Vinny, the stop motion movie you were thinking of is "Marcel the Shell with Shoes On." My spouse was an animator on it and, bias aside, it's pretty great!
