Schedule for the Week of 03/24/2025
🕑 Added 2025-03-24 18:48:38 +0000 UTCI’ve been really enjoying some video games! Between Avowed and Assassin’s Creed Shadows I’ve been eager to get back in front of the screen whenever I get some free time. I’m curious how folks are finding AC Shadows, especially if you’ve come back after an extended break. I’m about 25 hours in at this point and still just having a lot of fun knocking out objectives and doing activities in the world and moving the story forward when I feel things getting stale.
This week we’ve got some fun business lined up! First, we’ve got another episode of Mike and Vinny Destroy the World! That’s where Mike Mahardy and I continue our Chaos campaign in Total Warhammer 3 (Just going to call it that from now on, don’t fight me)! Also, Will Smith is joining us on Monday to continue our Multiplayer Mondays (unofficial) with 33 Immortals! On Tuesday Abby is coming through to look at Alex Hill with us, which seems to be EXTREMELY Nancy Drew-like. Then on Friday we will be having another Patron’s Choice, so keep an eye out for a poll a little later this week!
Over on the Podcast side of things we’ve got Dark City which is our final movie in our Dystopian City block of the Watchcast. We’ve got the Ramblecast and Podcast, of course, and we’ll have a Never Been a Better Podcast at the end of the week!

I ended up returning Shadows after about 90 minutes. Seems like a totally competent video game but the parkour is just too stilted for me. I'd love a Patron's choice for Unity one day. I know the launch was inexcusable but they did fix it. That game is amazing: the best city they've done, the best parkour, great updates to make assassinations more like Hitman, the French voice acting is genuinely excellent, etc.
