Minh didn't know what else to do. She ended up back in the bedroom, suitcase in hand. By the time she'd packed a tenth of her things the first suitcase had already been filled to the brim. Actually I don't think it's the tone that has changed we just witness the story from an outside perspective when till now we had access to Mihns internal dialogue, this makes sense since it is mentioned she was running in auto pilot.

I see what you mean. I felt as though Minh retained a bit too much of her original personality through the last list of changes. I may have over corrected by making her colder towards her husband. It was the tone I wanted to go for initially with the change in self awareness. The way she carries herself around others. The change in tone should somewhat reflect her change in opinion about her husband. Though I mightve overtuned it ever so slightly :P.

I know everything from her husband's perspective is incredibly bleak, but I'm enjoying how Minh's reduced intelligence is making her emotionally callous. It doesn't seem it'll be hard for her to enjoy her life as she learns to shut off.
