New Ambience: Demon Army

Here's a track that is somehow dark, yet upbeat at the same time. The ambience came first for this one. It all started with the distant rhythmic shouts and foot stomps of thousands of soldiers. I thought it sounded like a horde of demons and that's what I went with. A massive iron gate opens onto ranks of creatures as far as the eye can see. Siege machinery is rolled out, shields are bashed. It's definitely got D&D blood war vibes.
Musically this has a tone of layered percussion, accent synths, a couple of different male choruses, strings, and low brass. I think it makes a pretty good standard action/battle track for larger-scale encounters. Might be overkill for fighting rats in the cellar below the tavern!
Since this is in Patreon sneak-peek mode, I've included the mixed version of the track, as well as music-only and ambience-only versions here. Additionally, I created 2 'no army' versions, which remove the distant shouts and stomps of the soldiers, but keep the larger demon roars and the rest of the ambience. Finally, since there was so much percussion I listened to those tracks on their own and thought they sounded quite good so I included a 'perc only' track that I believe would make a decent underscore for a variety of situations. I hope you find these useful.

Love all of these variations. That percussion-only one is great as a subdued combat track...also works well as a background ambience as the party is exploring a map. Great job on all of these! :)

Fantastically dramatic, sweeping, epic, grim!! "definitely got D&D blood war vibes" Perfect for my campaign where the party has reached Sigil: The City of Doors ("the Cage") as part of Expedition to the Demonweb Pits--and are now walking amongst demons and devils, and starting to travel the planes...
