The M1 Garand is just a joy to shoot and run. Mines a Feb 1943 make. Still runs great.

I would like to see what was the rifle operation manuals given to soldiers with each rifle. Because we have here M1 with internal magazine loaded with clips with right hand bolt handle. SVT-40 with external magazine with right hand bolt handle and G-43 withe external magazine and... left hand bolt handle.

m1. zero doubts about that! only sights. only feeding system. all is better about the garand. calibers ain't THAT far apart to make a real reaaaal difference.

I really enjoyed this review. You have videos on most of the common machine guns used in WW2, but I think a comparison of different guns would make an excellent video.

I have to say I was one of those who had overlooked the Russian contribution to the semi-auto family. Heck, I had read more about the Ljungman (spelling?) then any of the Russian guns. I found it interesting that he production of the M1 and the SVT was nearly equal until a year after the US entered WW2. Who Knew? Doh! Gun Jesus natch!

Very good video discussion. A series of videos organized around the catagories of small arms of WWII would be a great comparison reference. For example, Sidearms of WWII would compare M1911/Tokarev/Luger+P38 not just in quality/practicality but like here on Battle Rifles, the production of them. Possibly some on auxillary equipment to the rifle like Rifle Grenades which were the LAW of that period.
