I have ordered. Coincidentally, I just got a message from Headstamp about the Basilisk book orders finally getting through. Sounds like the logistics of getting the books out is a basilisk in and of itself.

firetower

I hope we get an East Vs West Cold War duo next. Complete with retro vibes and all the covert curios that might entail.

AC C

I love your work and wish you tremendous success with this book! But charging $60 for a retroactive slip case to a $98 unsigned/$128 signed edition book is an interesting choice... Is it made out of gold foil?

Guido Schriewer

aaaa splendido

Niels

My disappointment is immeasurable, but this book will help. Ordered!

Forgotten Weapons

We do have a book on cutaway ammunition in the planning stages, but I don't know when it will actually be ready or exactly what range of cartridges it will cover.

Forgotten Weapons

Sorry, but no.

Forgotten Weapons

Yep, I do.

Thomas Walls

I can't wait to order one! I already got 'Chassepot to FAMAS' and 'Pistols of the Warlords.'

Thomas Walls

Ian, I trust you will cover the adoption of the 7.62x25mm cartridge and how it was in essence copied from / based on the 7.63 Mauser round (some of the early SMGs were marked as such). I can't count how many times I've had to hip people to that fact!

Powers

I know you can't talk specifics about future projects until you have your vetting and research, planning and the rest of the endless work etc.. But out of curiosity and because I have an ammo collecting problem.. Have you guys thought about a book or books, series on ammunition or that monster subject? Just wishful thinking on my part but I wanted to ask just in case. And to see if I needed to start adding bookshelf space..

Niels

Awesome! Is there a patreon discount code?

Forgotten Weapons

The plan is a full volume on Italy. Since they were in for the whole war (basically), they did enough small arms development to justify a whole book. The combined book would be the countries that didn't do any development during the war, where we only have their pre-war lineup to work with.

Guido Schriewer

I know you have an interest in italian I would think that in combined smaller countries. "other countries" is a logical idea to do, think so too.

Forgotten Weapons

Thanks! I'm really excited for this one. :)

Forgotten Weapons

Yup, the next four volumes will be (no order planned yet) Germany, UK, Japan, Italy. Probably also a final volume covering several other countries together (France, Czechoslovakia, Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland)

Guido Schriewer

if mosins rifles got issued to frontline personal again in current theatre.... man chips has to be down at the bottom!

Norman A. Letterman

Very hype for this, that's a favorite topic

Powers

Nice! Got my order in. I love the quality and the content of the previous books from you guys. Looks great!

Glenn Miller

US book was awesome! Just put my order in for this one.

Guido Schriewer

that is still A LOT of work to do. british, jap, german ww2? you started a long journey there. did you put the sks in there as... well that was a field try so to speak in the war. kind of the no5 carbine norway thing. not a "thing" IN the war.
