New Imports: French MAS 49/56 and MAS 36/51 Rifles (Ad-free)
🕑 Added 2024-10-30 12:00:05 +0000 UTCYeah, I'm a sucker for nice French rifles. So when Old Western Scrounger brought in another batch of them, I offered to do a video. These are rifles taken out of French long-term storage, having been rebuilt at French arsenals to like-new condition, and are in beautiful condition.

Jeez, I only realized when uploading this that I have not actually done a full video on the MAS 36/51. What an oversight! I will take care of that shortly...

Thank you. It took me a little bit to getting around to acting on it, but I finally placed my order with Murray's Guns.

Murray's has them again: I ordered one on 13 Nov, is shipped the same day.

The guy at Murray's Guns actually just emailed me yesterday that they have improved their 49/56 firing pin spring and should have the new ones available shortly. So I would keep an eye on their web site: http://murraysguns.com/product/mas-4956-firing-pin-kit/

I have a 49/56 and have been trying unsuccessfully for years to get one of those replacement firing pins. If any of you know where to get them, please let me know.

Yeah, since those AC-556s are full-auto, I doubt they'll ever be repatriated...

I love my MAS-49/56. It was in rough shape from RTI but after a weekend of work it runs great. Everyone thinks its an SKS though.

Bring in those surplus Ruger Mini-14s and those FAMAs parts kits : )

I was one of those guys who bought the recently imported 49/56 sewer pipe rifles commercially "rebuilt". If I would have just waited a year....

How much do US WW2 rifles in this condition go for?
Guido Schriewer
how do you caught that. I prefer american rifles to put it mildly. though there are worser than the 49 out there, I assume.
