Thank you for the insight into the events of 1982. I remember two British Vulcan bombers were at a Texas airshow, on their way back home from missions to the Falklands. One Vulcan and crew were on static display and the other Vulcan performed a memorable flight demonstration.

I have heard that at least one DeLisle carbine was appropriated from a museum an sent to the conflict, any mention of that in your info?

Thanks for the excellent Q&A. I watched it on Utube too. After watching I just had to take my FAL out to the range and ring the 300 and 400 yd plates. Let freedom ring!

well that were the guys whom were issued l85s next. that THEY keep the slr in good memory isn't surprising. as long as longer distances would have been the thing I don't think the locals would have been that far behind with smle 303s either. 762fal.. 303 smle... at 300 and beyond with such open terrain sounds like rather slow precise well aimed shots needed. night without todays NV stuff is something else I suppose though. might as well have a sterling.
