Next time you speak with him, could you ask him why the objective lens on an LVPO is always 28mm no matter what the tube size is? I asked the Vortex people why and they just said that the physics gets difficult. Which also made me wonder why use a larger tube given the weight and cost - though IMO. my NF 1-8 ATACR (34mm tube) definitely has better light-transmission than my friend's S&B 1-8, which is a 30mm tube. Thank you!

the man is maybe not the best salesman, IMO he is just because of his honesty, but he sure ain't talkinf BS to get sales up. now I appreciate exactly that. if someone does not... better get your head right not your gear.

that lvpo that has to do at 5 and say like 600... that's my approach. didn't knew gideon before the 1st interview. I have a PA acss (love that acss reticle) 1-6 on a 20" too heavy schmeisser for ipsc at the time. on a lighter one I'd be tempted to scream prism 3x fixed maybe. on mine... like that sportscar with 4wd tires. at least I think so.

I used to have a Nikon with a German #4 reticle. I really liked how uncluttered the view was. I wonder why the duplex reticle became the hunting standard instead of something like the German #4. I think you can still find it in some dangerous game scopes and tactical oriented LVPO’s. 🤷‍♀️
