That’s crazy that someone would show up without zeroing their weapon. Like, how have you been shooting it this whole time? 🤔

I teach basic rifle classes, and students ask about 'advanced' classes. I tell them to find an interesting match and start learning by doing. Without that, they are just going to the range and making expensive noise. It's good to have a rifle, it's better to be good with it.
