In response to your question in video: Well fed is about the best buff to be implemented in the Long Dark. It is literally one of my first priorities to achieve and maintain in most runs. Hard to think back to when it didn’t exist. And the Technical backpack was one of the best item adds in my opinion. Aside from that, I remember when they added Timberwolves with the bleak inlet/milling machine/ammo bench update. Timbies aren’t everyone’s favorite but I always liked them for their challenge and how they could strike fear in my heart when I’d happen on a pack while exploring, especially in low visibility weather. Good times indeed when I was still a beginner learning the maps and had no sense of where the packs hung about. And while I rarely use it, just having the milling machine is a great feature for long survival runs. I think that was a good mechanic that gave nod to long survival runs while still requiring you do the work for the reward. Oh…and of course…the return of Fluffy. Ok, maybe I just loved that one update in 2019. And it was in good time ahead of the pandemic lockdowns the next year when I started playing TLD a lot more than I had prior.
