Well, If Im going for real-art, then yes, the neck should probably be made thicker as well. But from an drawing point, the neck plays a very important role in maintaining the character’s overall head–body balance. That’s why, in character drawing, changing the neck size is actually a little pain ;D

I'm curious, the neck width doesn't really change on plump bodies but if arm width does wouldn't that naturally follow?
