I've completely burned out. I need a month to recuperate.
🕑 Added 2021-08-26 05:36:11 +0000 UTCI don't have a lot to report. I've been working on Supermental on and off and I've become increasingly frustrated by burnout. I thought working on Supermental and sparingly working on Khonjin House would prevent it. It didn't. I've been stuck doing this internet bullshit for too long, that I'm having a hard time even viewing Supermental as art. That's been extremely upsetting. I wanted it to be the one project not corrupted by marketing and personality and the like. Just hurts.
I started looking for another job so that I could get away from this kind of thinking and get out of poverty, but ended up putting myself further in debt over the course of two weeks. My motivation is shot, and I'm flat broke. I'm just bitter.
I apologize for the paragraphs of what is essentially complaining, but that's just where I'm at. I need some time to compose myself and to make something good. Ideally, something new. Possibly a live show? Something comedic. But that will be for later. I'm leaving tomorrow and won't be back for 10 days. Sorry for the drought of stuff. I attached a demo of a new commission I'm working on, for what its worth. Thanks for sticking with me.

You can’t make anything if you don’t have the energy or money to do so. This is quite the ambitious project so we can’t be too upset it’s taking so long. Take care, we’re all eagerly awaiting what Supermental will have in store for us!

Never forget to take time for yourself and take a real break when you need to. Don't get so worked up with what you want the end product to be that you suffer in the process. I don't know what your work environment is like, but I've found getting new eyes on projects and getting feedback/opinions/ideas from others can be quite helpful, especially when I'm stuck. I've been following your content for over half a decade now and can't wait to see what else you have in store in the future! Keep up the good work, but take good care of yourself too.

Dude you've worked so fucking hard on stuff and it's clear. Take all the time you need and then some. You've made so much great content, and everything we've seen from Supermental so far is incredible. Take your time disconnecting and getting that mental reset - I'm gonna bump my subscription tier too. You oughta be less stressed.
