This is for the Fantastic Frights horror anthology! I'm not sure if I'm totally happy with the pacing of this. I think it ends a bit too suddenly but I hit my page limit so this is where I landed for now. I'll see what the editors think haha :3

Aw thanks Vee!! I did think about that, I'm gonna ask the editors about it *but* something I failed to mention earlier is that this is a kids' anthology so it can't be too scary. I think officially they said implied death is fine but it can't be like, too horrific? I'll have to ask them about it but yeah what you suggested would be a good solution!

Ooh, maybe if you're worried about how it ends, you could play around with if the protag didn't escape, and instead got caught after pausing to look at the horror of room full of corpses? Either way, super cool!! I can't wait to see this polished c:
