Val'sharah is the worst zone story-wise but I get why it happened, at least? It wasn't some random corruption bolt, Xavius said he had the tears of elune already, so he actually shot a nightmare-infused pillar of creation into her chest. If there was any loss to be suffered from that zone's whole thing of "the nightmare is getting way out of control" it'd be the dragon who is explicitly connected to the Dream.

I agree, first they destroyed any chance of "dream raids" in future expansions/patches. Plus it felt like they randomly said somebody needs to die...and picked her name out of a hat. Blizzard - wow isn't game of thrones and nobody wants it to be.

Yummy Ysera! ^^ I like the light and smoke trail effects. Kinda breaks your heart to watch that cutscene. I was almost tearing up, it caught me by so much by surprise.

I stopped expecting anything resembling decent storytelling from Blizzard nowadays. The only time I ever hear about the story-line is when they kill somebody off now.
