Just got some tragic news
🕑 Added 2024-10-24 19:13:19 +0000 UTCMy dear feline friend, that I based Brownie on, has passed away. We believe it happened a few days ago, but could have been today.
I had him since I was fifteen, but he lived with family when I started to travel the world. When I got back, he was too fragile to move from said family who took care of him.
And today, I got the horrible sad news my dear best friend has passed away. It did not come as a shock, as last time I went to see him, he was not doing well. He had arthritis, and was deaf and almost blind.
They cannot be our best friends for our whole lives as they do not live that long, but we can be their best friends for their lives.
I loved my cat, and still do love my cat. I will, by The Lord's Grace, see him in The Meadow when I pass myself further down the line.
So for the rest of the week, things will be messy for work and previews and stuff. My apologies, but things will be back on track on Monday.

As the saying goes. We don't know what we've lost until its gone. I find this saying is most applicable to our furry companions. It's not until they are gone that we discover how much they mean to us and how big a hole they leave in our hearts

My sympathies... Pets are family, and when they pass it is like a part of you passes too. But in a way, you gave him immortality when creating Brownie. Chin up.

Yes never really recovered from when my childhood pets died. Not gotten any new ones in a decade
