Amy is powerful, don't let anyone forget that. Presumably, her marks knock her down to 1/6th of her power (maybe? I don't think we've explored how the suppression marks work, just that more equal more power), and she's still one of the greatest exorcists. It's clear she came out of that haze in a moment when she recognized Ryder, her hair going white and her suppression marks back, so it's clear Ryder is going to play a role in bringing her back to the surface and pushing back down the demon under her skin.
