HF Patch for KK v3.4 (mods up to 2020/09/30)
🕑 Added 2020-09-30 21:57:09 +0000 UTCAn unofficial patch for KK and KKP that installs the latest fan-made English translations and essential mods. It also fixes many common issues with the game.
It will allow you to load all character cards and scenes and give you countless content creation and gameplay improvements while still keeping the original, uncluttered feel of the game. All content is tested and fixed (or removed) as needed before each update, providing a stable platform for further modding.
Koikatsu can be split into two parts: character and scene creation tools (character maker and Studio), and an adventure game with story mode (it can use your custom characters, but not scenes). You can see preview videos of the game and some of the mods here.
HF Patch does not contain the full game, paid expansions or any other pirated content. You have to buy the game and expansions separately.
The base game (Koikatu / Koikatsu Party), and by extension this patch are not suitable for minors. If you are under 18 years old you can not use this patch. The base game and this patch contain only characters of age 18 or higher. The creator of this patch is not responsible for creations of its users and prohibits any unlawful use of this software.

Read before installing
Before installing check this installation guide and FAQ.
If you need any help check the wiki first, and if that doesn't help then ask in the #help channel of the Koikatsu Discord server. The #help channel is the fastest way to get help, you can even search it for your issue to see if someone already answered it. There are also chat and card sharing channels on the server!
To keep the download size reasonable, some rarely used and very old content mods are not included. If you have trouble loading characters or scenes, you can download the missing mods by clicking on the Update button in the game's launcher.

Solutions to common issues
- If after installing the patch you have issues running the game, restart your PC and try to install the patch again with default settings.
- If after installing the patch Studio hangs when loading, start KKManager (it's in a folder in game directory) and click "Look for updates" at the top, then tell it to update the Studio modpack.
- If you have trouble downloading by using the magnet link, try updating your torrent client or use the latest qBittorrent (it's known to work well).
- Make sure you downloaded ALL parts to the same folder and that the parts all have the same name. You need ALL parts for the patch to work. If the installer asks you for another disc it means that your download was not extracted correctly and is missing files, or you renamed or removed some of the extracted files.
- If you see any messages about corrupted files you'll have to re-download the offending part (or all of the parts). If you downloaded the torrent, most torrent clients can "force recheck" the downloaded files so you don't have to re-download the whole thing.
- If your antivirus is flagging the .exe file make sure that you've downloaded the patch by following links in this post. If you are sure the download came from the right place, it's most likely a false positive (it's a common issue with non-signed application installers).
Changelog
This update focuses on improving performance and usability of the game. A lot of my recent work was focused on making the game run faster and lag less. I also rewrote part of the patch and made tools that allow me to update the patch much more easily and quickly in the future.
You can now see a list of included plugins and their webpages and authors here and at the end of the patch installation.
There are a lot of new plugins added. As always, you can check plugin hotkeys from Main menu > Settings > Plugin Settings (or press the F1 key). Simply uncheck everything other than hotkeys at the top of the Plugin Settings window.
Patcher changes
- There are no BepInEx4 and IPA plugins in the patch now. BepIn4Patcher and IPALoaderX are now optional and not installed by default.
- Reordered how plugins are listed to be less messy.
- Added a Plugin Readme that is copied into game directory. It can be opened from the last page of the patch.
- Added an option to Delete old ScriptLoader scripts.
- Added link to source code to the last page of the patch.
- Changed banner image (thanks to Wubsy for the new image!)
- Check if HoneySelect2 is installed to selected directory and refuse installing.
- Check if the patch is started from within the game directory and require the patch to be moved.
- Fixed desktop icons being created even if they are disabled.
- Fixed not cleaning up some BepInEx versions fully.
- Fixed potential error if BepInEx4 config file doesn't exist.

Move the camera origin point closer to the guy and then hit the pov hotkey. For the crash, post your output_log.txt, it's best if you sent it to the #help channel on the discord server.

Thanks for everything but i have a problem. The Realpovmod doesn't work correctly, it's not the male vision but the female vision pov. And when i select another girl the game crash (but it's maybe for another reason, i suppress the pov mod and put and old one that work and since then the threesome h scene crash the game). And i ask here, a mod with all position in anal insertion exist ?

You can remove UnlockHPositions.dll from inside your plugins folder. If you got the latest version of cheattools then the unlock toggle is the exact same as this old plugin. Check plugin settings for the setting to unlock all poses no matter what, if you used that.

This is an interesting proposal, though I can't see how it would work given the heavy male-oriented self-inserted nature of the game. Not impossible of course, but seems like it would be quite the endeavor to make the preggo mechanics work with any measure of fluidity from the player's perspective, and even going about GETTING the player to such a state, wouldn't be possible at present either, given you can't pick male characters to H with. You'd have to go full with futa-"enhanced" women playing as men, to H with a modded 'female' version of the Player Character, then add a mod to trigger pregnancy flag on player post-H, and alter player physical state to progress it for a set time period. Damn, at that point, you might as well just make a whole other game. Honey Select 2: Hotter than you 'Thot' Edition. Kind of a fun idea though.. Not entirely in my realm of kinks personally, but i'd still check it out if they let us play as preggo thots as a bonus campaign, because why not. ~_^

I just recently updated to this patch but now my game crashes after I try to save characters in the character creation. I checked to make sure that i did have the 1.4.0 maker search and it is there. Has anyone else experienced this?

UnlockHPositions is my bad, it's safe to ignore or you can remove the dll. You can unlock the positions by using the cheat tools menu instead (Pause, scroll down in left window).

I've noticed since the patch that it doesn't display subtitles during the normal conversations (like when you touch them or look at them). Also, often during h-scenes, the subtitles stop getting translated, although the Japanese subs remain on screen. I'm sure it's a problem on my end, but I don't want to change anything and mess it up more without knowing what needs fixing/changes.

I have installed the patch but when I open the KK Manager and click on the "Look For Updates", the KK Manager just freezes and not working anymore, this problem only happens on 0.14.0 though and I get no problem on 0.13.0, anyone has an idea on this?

I'd gotten a little behind in keeping up with mod updates so I got this and installed it. Now my game is mad :( (i even did a fresh game install into a different directory and both are giving the same errors) When I start the game I get: Plugin [UnlockHPositions 1.1.0] targets a wrong version of BepInEx (4.1.1.0) and might not work until you update Any idea what I can do? I double checked that I had the newest BepInEx by getting the solo download for it, which confirmed I already had it in stalled from the HF patch as expected. and Edit: Fixed this on by getting the GeBoCommon and TranslationHelper.dll's from his page. Could not load [Translation Helper 0.9.4] because it has missing dependencies: com.gebo.BepinEx.GeBoAPI (v1.0.1 or newer)

Thanks for letting me know! Another quick question in the list above I can see Random Character Generator v2.0 but on my version when I check the manager it just says V1.0. Is there a way for me to update to V2.0. Also if I were to update using the patch is there anything that gets deleted? Do I need to back anything up.

For the most part you should be fine. This version of the patch has some plugins that are only available in source code form for now so you probably don't have them, but they are only minor performance improvements. Also the compatibility modpack was merged with the main modpack so you'll have to manually copy files over if you'll want to update mods with kkmanager or it will redownload the whole thing.
