I really enjoyed working on this one. Because it was not a comic I was able to put way more effort into the ilustration itself and I think it shows. I missed that. Felt like doing the Waifu Royale again.
Part of the reason why I am happy to take a break away from GrimLewd [besides wanting to animate] is that I was unsatisfied with the format. I am starting to think that the comics are not the best way to develop the setting? I'll think about it during my break.

I think a mix is good. Comics for the main plot lines and single detail pics for “side” stories that add flavour to the world( and sexy sexy fun).

REALLY love this relationship dynamic. I would have loved to watch the moment Bruk Bruk realized that the lil' guy was enthusiastically interested in her pleasure. It would have really driven home why they work.

Would it help if you approached the comics less as the foundation of canonical lore, and more of as an incubator for potential lore/character development? That way, you aren't locked into any decisions? You could still remain fluid, exchanging ideas and finding the right fits, so to speak.

As far as the format, I think whatever makes you happiest when approaching the material is what you should go with. In my experience, even just your single page illustrations are filled with details and environmental storytelling, so I don’t think the comics are the way to go if you’re not fully satisfied with the end product.

I think the comics and the one-shots help to develop the setting by giving a "at ground level" view of the world, which you can supplement with dry text and details in other places.

This is great. Want to see more of them. But as far as comics vs one shots. It is kinda 50/50. A one shot allows you the best as far as your skill/workmates, making stunning illustrations. But the comics you do expand the lore more than one shots do. Since with Nui and Danni we got to learn alot about Grimlewds fae, the templars, corruption, how corruption is linked to many monsters, and then some. Your setting document you did early gives the bones of it, but the one shots give us the skin, and the comics are the muscle. Totally get though that the one shots are easier.
