Steve here. Dale is an experienced woodworker, so he knows exactly how long it would *normally* take to age,dry and prepare a tree or such a project. But I have remind y'all this is a horror/fiction podcast and that's not even a tree, that's an eldritch manifestation of the darkness beneath the mountain in the SHAPE of a tree manipulating Dale through his gift to give it what it wants.

Yup, it takes at least a year from the tree being cut down to having the casket done. There are several plot holes with the story line with how long things take, like the mail being delivered between the siblings would take at least 2 days for each letter.

I see a huge hole in Dale’s plan, surprised he didn’t see it too, but wood needs to dry for quite a long while before it can be turned to lumber and used.

It literally JUST dawned on me, that the three siblings, and the grandson, are all being influenced by different beings fighting to steal Mama's power. I'm either an idiot for not realizing that sooner, or I'm an idiot for getting it wrong hahaha

I was NOT expecting all that!

I'm just sitting here with a very satisfied grin on my face. The story just keeps getting better!
