What are your favorite Halloween reads, Family?

In the House in the Dark of the Woods. Quick, weird, deeply unsettling.
Ghost stories are my seasonal favourites - almost anything by MR James is great for the autumn
Also 'The Night Wire' by H.F. Arnold, one of the creepiest weird tales ever written. Google and read if you've never heard of it, it's an hour well spent.
Washington Irving's 'The Legend of Sleepy Hollow'. The Disney version narrated by Bing Crosby scared the bejeezus out of me as a kid.
Zelazny's A Night in the Lonesome October.
