Ben mentioned distilling... those small stills online are for distilling for aromatherapy. Allegedly. Home distilling is illegal but not because of concerns about safety--though poor ventilation and not doing your homework can be an issue; it's illegal due to post-prohibition alcohol taxation laws which characterized liquors as "more bad" than beer/wine/cider/mead/etc because they are higher proof. You can learn all about it for entertainment purposes...
