You never realized that perhaps you should be watching them in the correct order? The first is actually pure gold - makes fun of Disney SO MUCH and is just generally wonderful. Shrek 2 needs some context, like, you know, Shrek. But I wouldn't bother watching them past the second.

Shrek 1 was great, Shrek 2 tried to hard with cultural references. Shrek 3 was kids film dog crap. Everything after was Kids film dog crap on fire.

If you watch them backwards its a long ass story about an ogre eventually morphing his wife into a human, sticking her a tower with a dragon and eventually returning to his own swamp to take a crap

HOW FUCKING DARE YOU!, I will admit that Shrek 3 was awful, 4 was not that good either but 1 was alright and Shrek 2 was and still is fantastic and I would say Dreamworks best film and one of the best animated films along with ratatouille
